Happy 11th Birthday to us!
In 2011 an enthusiastic group of locals started campaigning for a community garden, which was approved by Leichhardt Municipal Council, and the Mort Bay Community Garden Association was born. Council awarded the association a license to use the land in 2012.
Finally, after COVID disrupted our plans to celebrate our first decade, we’re throwing an 11th Birthday party instead! Saturday 21st October 9-2pm
Join us in the garden to help celebrate with special guests. Share a piece of carrot cake and raise a glass (non alc) to toast our success!
We’ll have a sausage sizzle and you can purchase delicious home made cakes and treats. Of course, we’ll also have a plant stall with a range of potted plants – decorative, veggies and herbs.
We’ll be running a raffle with a great selection of prizes donated by local businesses.
